How To Surrender MTNL Connection?
The easiest way to surrender the MTNL broadband connection and telephone are as follows:
- Write an application to your Area Head of MTNL telling about the discontinuation of the broadband and the telephone. The application must be signed by the one, on whose name the connection is given.

- Take a self-attested photocopy of an Identity like Aadhar Card or Voter ID of the person on whose name the connection is given along with the above application.
- Take your entire router device, telephone device, splinter, CD etc., whatever MTNL has provided you with to the Sanchar Haat. They will charge you in the next bill, if you don’t give them their router CD (Rs 30) or splinter wire (Rs 50).
- Go to your Sanchar Haat area. Take all the things with you as mentioned.
- If all goes well, then it won’t take much time to disconnect your connection/s.
If you have to show all the things first to the SDO and if he approves then he/she will ask you to go straight to the Storeroom to deposit all of your equipment.

Note: It is advised that not to mention about their bad connection in the application, they may hesitate then to cut off your connection/s as they have to answer to their seniors that why is a customer not going for their connection? So, keep the application simple and to the point.

Mr.Singh has advised not to mention about bad connection as the staff is answerable to seniors. If we do not mention about bad service,how will there be improvement if seniors are not aware ?

When one will go for disconnection, they will read your application, like; a lion is waiting for his pry. They won’t let themselves be blamed for the disconnection, or the poor services they offer.

what is the process of online request for termination the line.
ReplyDeleteHi. Till now, MTNL has not given any online platform for termination of the connection.
ReplyDeleteIf I registered post to their address only that works in this covid period or need to visit their office for termination of mtnl connection and internet. Also connection is not in my name its in my late grand father name.

DeleteJust a suggestion: You can change the connection name to your name and then put the termination application.
Since last three months l am paying the bill although telephone number is not working with the hope they will attend my phone and internet but failed now I am asking them to discontinue the entire service as I am well aware that no one bothered

ReplyDeleteYou can put the termination letter to discontinue the service to MTNL by writing the application. They won't attend your complaint.
in sarswati vihar office they did not accept my request because pendency of bill june 2020. when i contact a/c office rohini they told me that your office has been made the payment but updation is pending in our head office due to some shifting. when i went to submit again in sarswati vihar office then madam sitting adjascent to the official again refused due to bill pendency of june & july.

Due to this exercise my office paid two months bill unnecessorily due to madam sitting in sarswativihar office.
Now how can i take refund of these bills.
